Church The word “church” has several different meanings. Architecturally it refers to a building used for public religious worship. It also refers to an entire body of religious believers and usually the hierarchically ordered clergy who guide and instruct that body of worshippers.
These definitions may or may not apply to Christian belief. Buddhist churches, for instance, also exist.
Most small-’o’ orthodox Buddhist and Christian churches undergo divisions, each splinter group claiming to have uniquely preserved and perhaps elaborated on the true and authentic source of their faith.
From a conventional type of reasoning all such claims cannot be correct. But also from conventional reasoning it does not follow that all are necessarily incorrect.
It is conceivable that only one church teaches absolute truth while others contain only partial truths. It is also conceivable that one church remains truest (but not absolutely true) while others remain somewhat less true.
Other perspectives suggest that all churches and the truths they proclaim are equally valid and true.
